How to Complete A Very Festive Problem Quest?
A Very Festive Problem quest can be unlocked on the sixth day. This quest is a part of Lantern Rite Tales II. This quest is a very limited quest which can only occur during the duration of the event. In order to continue completing the other quests as the part of the event, make sure to complete this quest as soon as possible. if you successfully complete this quest, it will grant you Festive Fever Points.
Here’s how to complete A Very Festive Problem quest!
All you have to do before going on completing this quest is to talk with Herbalist Gui at the Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue. Once you speak with him, you will be required to deliver the medicine to two different critizens down at the docks. In order to ease finding the location, seeing the Genshin Impact is better for you.
In this way, you need to give them the medicine. Afterwards, you have to return back to Gui. Then, Gui wants you to make a Xiao Lantern as he doesn’t want a lantern for his business. Of course, what you should do is to start making a Xiao Lantern for him.
You surely will need some materials that you can use in making a Xiao Lantern, here they are:
- 1x Lantern Fiber
- 1x Wick Material
- 1x Plaustrite Shard
However, you will get the Lantern Fiber from any harvestable plant. While, if there’s a plant in the game that you can gather, you automatically will obtain one Lantern Fiber when you pick it.
Then, you can also get the Plaustrite Shard from any harvestable ore in the game, so anytime you smash awat at a rock, some of them will drop for you. You can also obtain it as a drop from Geovishap Hatchlings and Geovishaps. The last source that you can get the plaustrite Shard material is from Stonehide Lawachurls.
Keep in mind, harvesting ore is such the easiest way to get the materials. Of course, you can then create the Lantern at any Alchemy bench.
Once you create the lanterns, you have to present a Xiao Lantern to Herbalist Gui. After you present it to him, at least you have to wait until between 20:00 and 14:00 the following day. However, it’s so important for you. Then, if you change your time to later that day, there’s nothing going to happen.
In this case, you have to wait at least a full 24 hour period to continue the quest. Here, you can continue the progress in the main options menu by choosing the clock icon on the left of the screen. Afterwards, you should then go and meet Herbalist Gui on the nearby hill once the time has passed. It’s because he will release the lantern and end the quest soon.
Finally, once you successfully completed A Very Festive Problem, you will earn 30x Primogems, 20000x Mora and 100 Festive Fever. Additionally, the Festive Fever will show the amount of in-universe hype which is about the Lantern Rite event. However, this is required to unlock event content related to the Lantern Rite.
Aside from completing the quest of A Very Festive Problem, you can also get the Festive Fever after completing All That Glitters quest from the Lantern Rite event which requests from the Lantern Rite Tales event.
How to Unlock A Very Festive Problem Quest?

- Day 4 – Complete the quests of Outspoken Linling and Little Lantern, Little Wish.

- The Origin of the Lanterns Event
Aside from completing the Lantern Rite Tales, before you go on unlocking the Lantern Rite Tales Part II in order to finish A very Festive Problem quest, you also have to complete the Origin of the Lanterns event. Of course, to unlock this quest, you should complete the Alatus Chapter Act I: Butterfly’s Dream. For its event’s duration, the story quest’s requisite Adventure Rank has been decreased to AR 23 from 40 ahd no Story Key will be required.
- City of Chores Quest
Apart from completing the Origin of the Lanterns, you also have to complete an event quest named City of Chores as part of the Lantern Rite Tales I.
