In its first week, the title of miHoYo could make $60 million which then it rose to $100 million by the end of its second week. In the first week of this game’s release, Genshin Impact could collect 23 million installs.
From September 28th, 2020 to October 27th, 2020, this game could produce $245 million in player spending. If we compare with Tencent’s Honor of Kings and PUBG mobile which made $216 million and $195 million respectively, Genshin Impact is the biggest.
In the United States, Genshin Impact became the biggest launch for a mobile RPG in the country. It is because this game could generate $45 million in player spending and it was 18.2% of its total revenue. In the Asian countries such as China and Japan, this game could generate $82 million and $59 million respectively. It was about 33.5% and 24% of total player spending. The App Store took the biggest part from this revenue with $ 144 million which means 58.7%. How about Google Play? It accounted for 41.3% of earnings at $101 million.
