‘Stand by Me’ is an event as a part of the Lantern Rite Tales event which was released at version 1.3 of Genshin Impact. This event will be available on February 18, 2021 until March 7, 2021 at 4 A.M. Eastern. The ‘Stand by Me’ event offers you to get 4-star characters.
Before you can get the 4-star characters, you surely have to unlock the ‘Stand By Me’ banner. Then, to unlock this banner, at least there are a few things that you should pass. What are they and how to do it?
Guides to Unlock ‘Stand by Me’ Characters!
To unlock the ‘Stand by Me’ event, you will need to complete a series of quests. The specific quests that you should complete are ‘Glow of A Thousand Lanterns’ and ‘Theather Mechanicus’ quest. In order to get 4-star characters, you will need to max out the Festive Fever and spend 1000 Peace Talismans.
Here’s how to complete the quests!
- Completing ‘All That Glitters’ Story Quest
The first quest that you have to complete in order to unlock ‘Stand by Me’ characters is All That Glitters’ Story Quest. At least, there are the primary story quests which are attached to this event. The three quests here are not hard to complete. By completing this quest, you will earn tons of Festive Fever. The first mission is available with the second one which will be coming on February 14, 2021 and the third on February 18, 2021.
- Completing ‘Glow A Thousand Lanterns’
Glow A Thousand Lanterns is the third stage of the Festive Fever of Lantern Rite Event. If you successfully reach the level of Festive Fever, it will unlock the final stage of Theater Mechanicus. To complete this stage, you have to complete Light Upon the Sea. Before you successfully completed this quest, don’t hope you can get any new quests ahead.
Light Upon the Sea is the story quest as Lantern Rite Event part III. To finish this quest, you will need to go back to Wangshu Inn and report back to Xiao. Then, you need to talk to Xiao and to Verr Goldet. Afterwards, you have to find a good spot for a stall and continue to look for a proper spot. you can then talk to Xiao and dine with him. Last, you need to go back to Liyue Harbor.
Aside from completing the Light Upon the Sea story quest, you also have to do a quest of Lantern Rite Tales. By doing this quest, it will grant you Festive Fever points. Then, you need to accumulate a certain amount of points to allow you to reach ‘Glow of a Thousand Lanterns’.
The rewards that you will get after completing the reach ‘Glow of a Thousand Lanterns’ is Festive Fever in which it’s a way to unlock stage 6 and 7 for Theater Mechanicus.
- Completing Theater Mechanicus Quest
Another requirement that you should have to unlock the ‘Stand by Me’ event is to complete the challenges of Theater Mechanicus. You will need Xiao Lanterns to complete this challenge. Just for acing Theater Mechanicus’s difficulty for 1 and 2 stage, you will obtain 1000 Peace Talismans. As we’ve mentioned to unlock the ‘Stand by Me’ character, you should spend about 1000 Peace Talismans.
To claim the reward of this quest, you have to visit Xiao Market. Otherwise, if you don’t have a need for any Xiao market items, you just simply beat those 2 stages to earn 1000 Peace Talismans.
Stage 1 is a tutorial stage which introduces the basics of the Theater Mechanicus. In this stage, you will need Hilichurls that you should eliminate. To beat the Hilichurls, the recommended Mechanicus that you can use are Spark, Thin Ice and Thunderstrike. You also have to use a character which has a Cryo elemental. The recommended characters to beat Hilichurls are Ganyu, Qiqi, Diona, Chongyun and Kaeya.
Then, to unlock Difficulty 2 stage, you have to beat Difficulty 1 first that we have explained above. In order to get access to this event, you will have to complete The Origin Of The Lanterns Quest and Liyue: Theater Mechanicus quest. To beat wave enemies, you have to use Cryo and Pyro characters. The mechanicus that you have to use are Spark and Thin Ice.
Once you successfully complete this quest, you will then earn 1000 Peace Talismans and then you need to spend it to unlock the 4-star characters in the ‘Stand by Me’ event.
Requirements to Participate in ‘Stand by Me’ Event
Lantern Rite event which is a massive event happening in Genshin Impact gives the players a chance to get a 4-star character by unlocking the ‘Stand by Me’ event. As we know, the Lantern Rite event is a timed event which you can participate in.
To note, before you jump into this enormous event, you will first have to finish two primary story quests and reach the Adventure Rank 23. If you have been playing Genshin Impact since it’s released, these requirements should not be too hard for you to complete.
