The Story of Solar Pearl
Solar Pearl is described as a dull golden pearl which is made of an unknown substance which can harbor the light of the moon and the sun and also it can pulse with a warm strength. There is a rumor that it is a legendary orb of Liyue. Once, it absorbed all the light in the world. However, it was kept in a wooden box for thousands years afterwards. Nevertheless, the power which is owned by this item has not gone. Now, it is released from its container and it shines more.
In the hands of a truly knowledgeable person, the amazing power of this item may be able to be unleashed after lying for thousands years. There is a story which has been popular among the jewelers of Liyue. Based on that story, the master craftsman Kunwu once took the light of the heavenly bodies and sealed it in a wooden box. Then, Kunwu buried that box deep in a dark rocky chamber, where the box kept in pitch blackness for forty-nine days and twenty hours until the pearl within had absorbed the shine of the sun and moon.
It is a most bizarre tale. However, until this day, there are a lot of people in Liyue who hold steadfastly to their belief in the esoteric talents of the master craftsman Kunwu. There was someone who once tried to pluck up the courage to ask the aging craftsman about his secret. The eccentric old man laughed at the nonsensical notion of his mystical capabilities.
When his apprentice was asked about it in private, he revealed a different story. Same as Kunwu finished polishing the Solar Pearl, the splendor of the heavens shone down and a crimson moon filled the sky. However, did this phenomenon mean that Kunwu has received divine help in his craft?
