Teyvat Description

You have arrived in Teyvat which is a fantasy world where the seven elements flow and converge. In the past, the Archons given mortals unique elemental skills. Although the disaster the world suffered has ceased, but a peace has yet to be restored.

Major Nations in Teyvat

Here are major nations in Teyvat:

Mondstadt

Mondstadt is a major nation in Teyvat, and also the first in which the Traveler starts to look for their lost sibling. Mondstadt is the city-state which worships Barbatos (the Anemo Archon). Since the beginning, Mondstadt has celebrated a festival known the Ludi Harpastum every year with 15 days of the games for the children to enjoy.

Playable characters from Mondstadt are Albedo, Amber, Barbara, Bennett, Diluc, Dina, Fischl, Jean, Kaeya, Klee, Lisa, Mona, Noelle, Razor, Sucrose, Traveler, and Venti. While regions in Mondstadt are Brightcrown Mountains, Galesong Hill, Starfell Valley, Windwail Highland and Dragonspine.

Liyue

Liyue is also one of major nations in Teyvat. Liyue is the city-state which worships Morax, the Geo Archon. In the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview, Dainsleif says about Liyue. This is a bountiful harbor that lies in the east of Teyvat. The mountains stand tall alongside the stone forest, together with the open plains and lively rivers, make up the Liyue’s bountiful landscape which shows its unique beauty through each of the four seasons. For your information, playable characters from Liyue are Beidou, Chongyun, Ganyu, Keqing, Ningguang, Qiqi, Tartaglia, Xiangling, Xiao, Xingqiu, Xinyan and Zhongli.

Inazuma

Inazuma is the city-state which worships the Raiden Shogun, Baal, the Electro Archon and leader of its governing body (the Inazuma Bakufu). In the past year, relative to the current events of the game, the situation in Inazuma nation has made a drastic turn towards isolationism. Also, Baal enacted the Vision Hunt Decree, stating that Visions as the gifts from the gods should be in the sole hands of divinity. Now rounding up all Visions in Inazuma to inlay them in the hands of a statue of the Thousand-Armed, Hundred-Eyed God. Two areas in Inazuma are Yae Publishing House and Uyuu Restaurant.

Sumeru

Sumeru is an unreleased region in Teyvat. People in this region worships the God of Wisdom, the Dendro Archon. Sumero nation is renowned as the center of learning and houses the Sumeru Academia. In the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview, Dainsleif says that the God of Wisdom’s enemy is wisdom itself, and the oasis of knowledge is a mirage in the desert of ignorance.

  • Sayid, in the church courtyard in Mondstadt.
  • Soraya, the researcher in Wangshu Inn.
  • Alrani, Soraya’s fellow archaeologist.
  • Henry Morton’s missing friend.
  • Fadhlan, the author of Customs of Liyue.
  • Masudi, the author of Yakshas: The Guardian Adepti.

Fontaine

Fontaine is one of the seven major nations in Teyvat. It is the city-state which worships the God of Justice, the Hydro Archon. In Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview, Dainsleif says that the God of Justice lives for the spectacle of the courtroom, seeking to judge all other gods. However even she knows not to make an enemy of the divine. Fontaine prides itself as the hub of culture and the arts. The newspaper of the Steambird is the main newspaper of the Court of Fontaine. Mona is a columnist on it, suggesting that they have the writers from all across Teyvat.

Some NPCs from Fontaine:

  • Caspar. He notes the scenery of Liyue is different from Fontaine.
  • Francis. He is a traveling merchant who appears in Liuli Pavilion and Xinyue Kiosk.
  • Gaiman. He is a novelist at the Sea of Clouds.

Natlan

Natlan is the city-state which worships Murata, the Pyro Archon. In Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview, Dainsleif says that the rules of war are woven in the womb. The victors shall burn bright, while the losers must turn to ash. Once the God of War shares this secret with the Traveler, it is because she has her reasons. For your information, Natlan seems to be inspired by Pre-Columbian or Indigenous America.

Snezhnaya

Snezhnaya is a major nation in Teyvat which worship the Cryo Archon, the Tsaritsa and the Fatui. It is a religion or military-force under the Tsaritsa’s control who is famous for their diehard devotion to her. In Snezhnaya, there is perpetual snow and ice. If there is a question for Nadia regarding her homeland, this character will say that the people who live in Snezhnaya are delighted to be alive once they look out at the raging winter storms outside.

Other Nations in Teyvat

Here are two others nations in Teyvat:

Khaenri’ah

Khaenri’ah is an unreleased region. Actually, it is not part of the continent of Teyvat. Also, it is not under the purview of The Seven. In the Teyvat Storyline Preview, Dainsleif describes it as one of the hidden corners where the gods’ gaze does not fall, and also says that its people dream of dreaming. Khaenri’ah is an underground realm with little fauna. As a result, its denizens made the Art of Khemia. It is a kind of alchemy which focuses on the creation of life and is wholly different from the alchemical arts practiced in the seven nations of Teyvat. Celestia

Celestia is a mysterious location which very few people understand. This is the floating island which can be seen in the sky above Teyvat. It is said that only mortals who perform great that can ascend to Celestia and achieve godhood, where they are going to watch over their people from above. A human with a Vision is an allogene. One with the potential to reach godhood. For your information, there are only two characters who have ascended to Celestia. Those two characters are Vennessa and Guhua.
