In the game which is on the rise right now, Genshin Impact seems to spread addictive poison to RPG game fans. With the cool fight system which is featured with gorgeous effects, those make this game loved and much sought after by many people around the world.
Even though coming in cool and catchy effects for the fight, that’s not easy to defeat your enemies in the game. However, you will need the great elemental on a target including monster and other players. To be a pro-player which has superb capability in defeating the enemies, at least you should empower one of Genshin Impact elemental combinations named Elemental Reactions.

Do you already know what the Elemental Reaction is? To find out more about Elemental Reactions, keep staying this page!
What are Elemental Reactions?
Elemental Reactions are a combination of 2 elements which cause a reaction depending on the combination. This element is triggered by applying a certain combination of elemental effects on both the player and monster. Moreover, the elemental effects will linger for around 9-12 seconds depending on what applied them.
The effects here are also removed by Elemental Reactions, even though an effect is able to last after a reaction depending on which skill applied it and which the reaction took place. These reactions have no cooldown, however the skill has internal cooldowns before being able to reapply their elemental effect.
The good news for true fighters, at least there are 3 Elemental Reactions which will be great to win the complicated fight. As you know that there are a total of 9 Elemental Reactions which have different effects when they’re used in a battle. Of course, by knowing one-by-one of each effect, it will ease you to defeat your enemies. What are they? Let’s see the list below!
- Superconductor
The first Elemental Reaction which is great to give the big effect for your enemies is Superconductor. This is a combination of Electro and Cryo attacks. This reaction will cause the AoE Damage Cryo effect, and reduce the target’s physical resistance by 50%.
First you have to throw Cyro attacks at the enemy, after the enemy in the area has received the Cyro effect, continue with the Electro area attack such as Lisa’s basic attack, to activate the Superconductor. Its effect is that AoE Cyro damage occurs and defence is lowered.
- Frozen
The second Elemental Reactions that you can use to win the battle is Frozen. Indeed, this is one of the most useful when fighting a large crowd of monsters. It’s also very easy to see that there are lots of water sources on the map and in the dungeons.
To use it, you first have to attack your enemies with a Hydro attack, and when the enemy gets the Wet status, you can just attack using Cyro to freeze them temporarily. To note, if you hit a Frozen enemy with Claymore attacks or Geo DMG will cause Shattered.
- Swirl
The last Elemental Reactions which will have a big effect on your enemy is Swirl. We think that you will definitely use this elemental reaction as the protagonist in this game is Anemo’s character.
If the player attacks with an Anemo attack, then Swirl will be activated by simply adding a Pyro, Cryo, Hydro, or Electro attack. This elemental reaction group is very effective against enemies who have thick blood, or a lot.
We think that those are the best Elemental Reactions which are great to give the effects to your BIG enemies.
More Elemental Reactions
You may want to know more Elemental Reactions that you can use to defeat your big enemies. As we’ve explained above, there are a total of 9 Elemental Reactions with different effects. We think that you will need other Elemental Reactions to defeat your enemies. Of course, this post will help you to know more about all Elemental Reactions by showing them for you.
Here you go!
- Burning
Burning is a fire type attack (Pyro) that can last quite a while. This is a combination of fire elements. It will give a burn effect to your enemies. This also applies a fast-ticking low damage Pyro DoT effect.
- Crystallize
This type of attack does not injure the enemy but extracts elements from the enemy to generate crystals. Players who use this crystal will have a temporary shield from the enemy elements. You do this by combining Geo elements with any element.
Moreover, it will absorb some of the target’s elemental energy and drops a crystal which is able to give a character an elemental shield if they touch the crystal. Well, the shield here will absorb all types of damage, however it will protect against the shield’s element more effectively than other types of damage.
- Electro Charged
This type of attack combines the status or element of water (Hydro) and electricity (Electro) which produces a stun effect or type of Electro attack for a while which will disturb the enemy to retaliate. The ‘Wet’ status or effect does not have to be from the player character’s attack. Enemies can be lured into approaching wet areas or during rainy weather conditions.
- Melt
This Elemental Reaction type of attack can still connect from the Frozen type. Melt combines the elemental attacks of ice (Cryo) and fire (Pyro).
- Overload
This attack actually produces an explosive effect which can throw enemies as well as other effects, namely fire (Pyro) aka burning with a large area of attack (Area of Effect). This attack combines the elements of electricity (Electro) and Pyro.
- Vaporize
This Elemental Reaction type of attack was similar to Melt. However, it combines the elements of water (Hydro) and fire (Pyro).
Well, those are all Elemental Reactions that you can use to give spectacular effects which will drop your big enemy. Keep in mind, if you really want to be a pro-player of Genshin Impact, you should then be able to empower all Elemental Reactions that we have mentioned one-by-one above.
