In the huge world of Teyvat, there are a lot of interesting places to explore, opponents to fight, and a dozen of materials to pick.
Violetgrass is one of the most useful plants out of the dozens of the plants. Apart from being useful, it is also exclusive. This one is the one that you need to get if you want to craft or upgrade specific characters. The issue is that you cannot just found it anywhere. For those who are having a hard time on finding the Violetgrass, here is the guide for you.
Violetgrass farm route
Violetgrass is usually found in Liyue on the sides of mountains. There is more than one location for those who are looking to farm Violetgrass to check. Here is the list of those locations:
- Qingce Village
- Mingyun Village
- Huaguang Stone Forest
- Wuwang Hill
- Dunyu Ruins
Wuwang Hill is the best place that you can visit if you want to collect some Violetgrass. To reach there, from the teleport waypoint, all that should be done is to go northwest a bit until you come to a cliff. What makes this plant hard to find at first is the fact that it really grows on the side of the cliff itself. It means it needs some extra effort to climb up and find a plant sprouting out of the rock to gather it. In this area, you should be able to see a few shrubs growing on some different kinds of cliff faces, so you will need to glide and climb around if you want to get a lot.
In case you are having a trouble finding enough there, you can just go slightly south west of the teleport point in the area. There should be a big rock that stands out of the ground there. In this location, there are more Violetgrass, as well as some other kinds of flower. Upon seeing the rock, all that you need to do is to keep heading around the area if you want more. This plant is all over the place as long as you know where to look. When trying to find them, please be careful and keep focus because the monsters in the area will try to knock you down the cliff if they see you climbing around.
As stated before, Wuwang Hill is the best place to find the Violetgrass but the others mentioned above also provide this flower. The largest bunch of Violetgrass can be found in the mountains around Mingyun Village. In case this place is not available on your map yet, keep calm and keep going through the story and it will be unlocked for you.
For those who want to find the Violetgrass early, the best option is Qingce Village. In this village, there are six Violetgrass but they are not placed together. The second easiest place to find is near Huaguang Stone Forest. To be able to farm these Violetgrass, please do some hopping because each of them is placed on the top of the stone.
Apparently, it takes two to three real world days for the Violetgrass to respawn. In this case, you are suggested to farm all of them in all locations together. Doing so will maximize your farm and you will also have less time to wait for them to respawn.
The other ways to get Violetgrass
You might want to buy Violetgrass in Liyue. To make it possible, you can just find the Herbalist Gui at Bubu Pharmacy. This item is available to be purchased at Bubu Pharmacy. If you want to get them, you will have to spend 1000 Mora. Do take a note that there is a limitation of the amount of Violetgrass that you can buy. Everyone is allowed to buy up to 5.
You can also meet Verr Goldet to buy the VIoletgrass. She is able to be found at Wangshu Inn. Similar to Herbalist Gui at Bubu Pharmacy, Verr Goldet at Wangshu Inn also carries 5 Violetgrass in stock. Apparently, it will refresh every 2 days at 4:00 AM server time. As for the price, it is the same as the one from Herbalist Gui, which is 1000 Mora for each.
If you do not have enough Mora, then this last method is your best option. This one requires you to meet an NPC (non-playable character) named Mengmeng. She is able to be found near the Statue of the Seven at Bishui Plain in Dihua Marsh. Upon finding her, your only job is to talk to her for the first time and you will be able to get 5 Violetgrass by doing so.

Another use of Violetgrass is for healing. It is able to heal somewhere between 25% and 30% of the max HP of your character. It can be used to generate your HP from 650 to 1120 for every 5 seconds for a total duration of 30 seconds.
